Well green power is a reality, it's just not used mainly I think because there is no profit
gained from it. The last thing oil companies want is for the venus project to use these sorts of
energy. You can't profit from power that's abundant. The only way for this power to be used is
for people to stop using money.

World peace would be great. But let me give you some reference:

  >"Some people are more equal than others."

This is the pivotal plot point of animal farm where everything crumbles around the, "everyone
gets an equal piece of the pie" dream. Well, some people need to eat more than others. Some
people's jobs are more "important" than others.

Even the most "Free" of societies operate on some people being more "equal" or more "free" than

Is our society evil, or is it our conception of what we define evil changing? Think about how
aids used to be called grid. How homosexuality used to be a mental disease. What we perceive to
be right or wrong changed with what we knew. We only can see the actions of ourselves and our
societies, not the intentions. Those are the invisible guiding forces that lead to actions that
may be judged as right or wrong. Yet people may have justifying circumstances for attempting to
reach a goal. Just as the end does not justify the means, the means does not necessarily justify
the ends. In this case: The road to hell is paved in good intentions.

There are starving families in America. People don't like to admit it but they're there. I've
seen em first hand. We like to think we're a developed nation past it, but in the end we're as
powerless as before. I don't think it's a matter of technology. No, that's not what holds us back.

It's the fact that the federal government has become bureaucratic and our legislative branch is
now for sale or rent. Every year congress passes new laws to increase their own salaries due to,
"increased cost of living." Yet the minimum wage simply is not a living wage and has not been so
in years. There hasn't been a federally mandated raise in minimum wage in a very long time. Once
again: Are some people more equal than others? It seems our senators and congressmen and women
think so. Their "cost of living" has increased, why hasn't the minimum wage? Isn't it more costly
to just "live" for everyone, or just them? If it's just costly for them, why would that be?

Yet no other senator has fought harder or, more accurately, at all, for an increase in minimum

wrong though, he's wrong on some other key issues I disagree with. Issues I won't get into here
as It's getting far too late for me to waste time arguing - but when he fights for an increase in
minimum wage for the average joe and the right wing who claims to be the "average joe,"
ostracizes him for being disconnected with their needs, I think that's a little ignorant.

Not the camera-seeking blowhards touting higher minimum wages, that's for sure. Raising it has a
short-term effect of higher wages... plus an immediate number of job losses at the lower end of
the wage scale, combined with long term bump in inflation.

Combine this with the Department of Labor statistics showing only 2.5%-2.9% of workers actually
MAKE the minimum, and it (should) make you wonder why people get credit for looking out for the

in a society where more and more of humanity's "basic" needs are being met, we are seeing more

needs are being manipulated by the very people, those in power, who are doing these things with
the claim of meeting some basic need of society. our personal records are being rifled through

So you have explained, quite well in fact.

It's corrupt, but not all that horribly damaging in perspective from how you explained.

Not sure what else to say though.

lol, no, these aren't good ideas. They aren't even new ideas. They weren't even new ideas in
1974. Hayek wrote about - and dismantled - them in "The Road to Serfdom" in 1944, but that's just
the most prominent example that springs to mind.

The whole idea of pure "anarchistic" collectivism have been given an honest and fair shot
countless times and failed every time, usually catastrophically. The human race is a society of
insular, individual beings. Because humans can never know any mind outside their own, they will
always define themselves by their own self-actualized values. Even pure altruism can never be
anything more than an ultimately selfish interest in advancing the ideal of altruism.

Until we learn how to be ants, this guy will remain full of shit, and frankly I wouldn't want to
live in a world where he'd be right.

The NICS works pretty well. When it's implemented. And states don't HAVE to participate. Though
there's federal funding available for gun stores that do.

Unfortunately the flaw with any system is it doesn't work if you don't use it, and NICS is a
federal program, and the federal government can't force states to participate. Though most states
do. The state I live in does.
