  i think the 2nd is a good thing but some of the NRA's battles are dumb. for example they
  massivley lobbied against a 5 dollar gun charge designed to do better background checks.... wtf
  is 5 dollars tacked on to the price of a gun(some rifles r hella expensive).

  there's federal funding available for gun stores that do.

  Unfortunately the flaw with any system is it doesn't work if you don't use it, and NICS is a
  federal program, and the federal government can't force states to participate. Though most states
  do. The state I live in does.
