All happiness and sorrow is relative. It is ridiculous to judge how happy or sad you should be
based upon the most miserable person in the world or the happiest person in the world, or the
more or less fortunate for that matter. There are always bigger and smaller fish, you will most
likely never epitomize either end of the spectrum. Rather, consider your conditions, your
situation, and other variables applicable to your life. How happy or sad should you be? I don't
know, and you probably don't either. Things do not need to be the archetypal situation for
fortune and misfortune to embody happiness or unhappiness respectively.

contentness is intrinsic, and more about attitude towards life.., compare this song to 'the empty
stomach song' and you'll see the difference.
'the empty stomach song' is all about being content with what you have despite less than ideal
circumstances; this one is about struggling to be content despite decent circumstances (has a
steady job in a global recession).
