[_] [G] Are you tonedeaf? Anon 1523767 Post results. Marked for deletion (old).
>> [_] Anon 1523774 77.7% Normal as hell
>> [_] Anon 1523787 58.3% Yeah, that seems about right...
>> [_] Anon 1523790 75.0% correct normal performance
>> [_] Anon 1523793 Did it twice and got 83.3% both times. Thanks for posting!
>> [_] Anon 1523804 80.6% Of the 61,036 scores recorded, you scored in the 69th percentile. The percentile is the percentage of subjects who scored less than you.
>> [_] Anon 1523808 83.3% much lower than I expected...
>> [_] Anon 1523809 88.9% This was really cool.
>> [_] Anon 1523810 It would be interesting to have a graph of Tone-Deafness in relation to favourite music genres.
>> [_] Anon 1523814 was expecting screamer, pleasantly surprised when there was none 97.2% (on second try) was around 77.8% on first try
>> [_] Anon 1523816 There's far too many variables keeping this from being a decent scientific experiment. Just a novelty really.
>> [_] Anon 1523817 86.1% Correct feels good man
>> [_] Anon 1523820 trial 27 sounds familar, the first set of sounds, not the 2nd.
>> [_] Anon 1523824 Some of the sounds reminded me alot of LoZ. 72.3% btw
>> [_] Anon 1523843 91.7%, first try. Some of those were pretty evenly matched, made me consider for a few seconds.
>> [_] Anon 1523846 77.8%
>> [_] Anon 1523855 80.6%, niggers
>> [_] Anon 1523858 33 is def fucking different, wtf! how is that the same?
>> [_] Anon 1523859 94.4 percent, 98.6th percentile. No surprises. >># You just are not used to the scale they're using.
>> [_] Anon 1523861 86,1... Pretty well, I guess.
>> [_] Anon 1523862 100%, glad by degree isn't a total waste
>> [_] Anon 1523863 80.6% Correct Not bad
>> [_] Anon 1523864 83.3% with an ear infection at 3 in the morn. I bet I'll score better rested and healthy.
>> [_] Anon 1523865 63.9% Correct no music training not too bad?
>> [_] Anon 1523866 I'm assuming most people take this more than once and fuck the results
>> [_] Anon 1523868 94% Being OCD helps
>> [_] Anon 1523869 >># high five! me too
>> [_] Anon 1523870 17 is my favorite 24 too and 27 31 = epic 34 is funny 91.7%..... better then expected
>> [_] Anon 1523875 86.5%
>> [_] Anon 1523882 72.2% Wow. I have poor hearing based on the results of everyone else in this thread. I got trials 4, 5, 8, 18, 23, 26, 28, 30, 33, & 35 wrong. Alot of the music sounds like it could've come from/could've been in a video game. I would've liked alot of those trials made into full songs. Seriously, why can't more music be that good?
>> [_] Anon 1523883 This is really more a test of your auditory short-term memory than of your hearing itself.
>> [_] Anon 1523884 75% Normal - Better than I thought I'd do. Alot of these were catchy but if you answer that you're female, they ask you about your period... fun stuff...
>> [_] Anon 1523885 77.8%. Oh well.
>> [_] Anon 1523901 47.2% Fuck yeah.
>> [_] Anon 1523910 SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER ! SCREAMER !
>> [_] Number Cruncher 1523914 94.4% a lot of these are more memory and attention to detail than tone-deafness. This is probably a "blind study" for one of those other factors, disguised as a tone-deaf test to get a baseline reading without the testee being conscious of their mental behavior. Eg: if I know its a memory test, Im going to concentrate harder, perhaps use memory techniques that otherwise I wouldn't use, like a mnemonic, memory mansion, or whistling the tone repeatedly until I have motor-muscle memory of the movement required to repeat it. Notice how there is no replay button for each tone set. this would be helpful for a tone deafness test, but would inhibit a test of memory or attentiveness.
>> [_] Anon 1523916 80.6%
>> [_] Anon 1523919 that's a working memory test not a fucking tone test
>> [_] Anon 1523923 88.8% All four of the ones I got wrong were the Same when I chose Different. I wish it would play the two pieces more than once.
>> [_] Anon 1523926 88.9% better than I thought I had done.
>> [_] Anon 1523931 first try 90%
>> [_] Anon 1523932 86.1% Bitches
>> [_] Anon 1523935 86.1% No musical training Feels good, man
>> [_] Anon 1523959 50% and in the 1st percentile. I never knew it was so bad.
>> [_] Anon 1523960 90.4% I can play the trumpet, that's about it. I did used to play the violin, but I have forgotten long ago.
>> [_] Anon 1523964 94.4%
>> [_] Anon 1523969 100% was interesting, but they could have made them longer to actually get something out of people.
>> [_] Anon 1523970 55.6% Correct FML
>> [_] Anon 1523972 91.7% first try. AIM popped up in the middle of it and started throwing me off I think.
>> [_] Anon 1523975 This is stupid. I was concentrating on overall tone, not on 1 note differences. I didn't try memorizing the tunes at all. I hope they enjoy getting false data.
>> [_] Anon 1523988 70%
>> [_] Anon 1523989 75.0% despite musical training
>> [_] Anon 1523990 75% :D
>> [_] Anon 1523991 67.8% Oh no, my life is ruined
>> [_] Anon 1523992 >>#
>> [_] tone deaf? Anon 1523993 yeah pretty much >.< 52.8% isn't metal a good stimulant for ears?
>> [_] Anon 1524006 52.8% Correct I seem to have some kind of memory deficit.
>> [_] Anon 1524018 From what I can see, I was the best one here. 97.2 on first try. No music training.
>> [_] Anon 1524023 This can have a lot to do with the quality of your speakers, so don't get too worried if you get a low score :P
>> [_] Anon 1524024 66.7 >># This (more of a memory test. No replay wth).
>> [_] Anon 1524030 As it's been stated, this is most likely a memory test and not a test for tone-deafness. I have pretty good relative pitch, but only scored in the 80's for this because some of the things in here are long enough that it's hard to tell minor differences apart without the ability to re-listen or anything.
