The Sanic series has really taken a downfall from it's predecessors.
Granted, I only played the first two levels of Sanic remastered, but you can automatically see
the glaring contradictions and flaws the game has when comparing it to the original Sanic.
As one would assume when you initially purchase the game, you gotta go fast. At least this was
mine when I brought it home from gamestop. The title screen alone was a joke, as we're plastered
with a 3D rendered of Sanic instead of the old ms paint sprite images (which are clearly superior
in most cases). Sanic himself looks like a lego piece that's been chewed on by a rabid dog, a
clear indication on where modern gaming is headed.

Now I, like most of you, enjoy the original soundtrack of the Sanic series. My parents grew
concerned when my ears started bleeding and became tone deaf for about 4 months, but they just
don't understand the magical symphonies that come from my speakers blaring out blissful harmonies
that was Sanic.
This remake, however, is such a piece of shit when it comes to music. I literally had to TURN UP
the volume just to make my eardrums twinge in the slightest. The only remarkable trait in volume
would be Sanic's scream (the hitbox, by the way, is extremely unforgiving.)
The level design in my opinion was in fact a step down from it's previous games. The walls were
too high with no static images plastered on them. I never once felt like I had to go fast, or
even step it up on occasion. The whole experience felt empty and hollow.
I give Sanic Remastered a 1...
