I think he's trying to say people have stopped wasting their effort on complaining about the

Knishes were amusing for about a week. Then they became very tiresome. Why? Because they're a
lazy version of hoods. Trolling is a tradition here, whether or not we like it. Personally, I
don't resent the clever ones, because they're interesting in their own way.
This thread, for example. I figured it was probably a troll, but the bait was too good not to
