It does, but there is always minorities that will be the ones affecting the others. I myself was
in the same situation like 3 years ago, Ignored their bullshit, found friends online which liked
me for who I am not for how I look like and such.
Basically there is always someone good and bad we just have to upkeep to stay on the good side

smart-ish. Below a B? You were considered some kind of throwback to the bronze age. A kid
literally tried to kill himself, by drinking bleach, because he had the lowest mark in the class
on some bullshit reading comprehension test -- he got a B -- when he usually sat with the
highest. Maybe things are different in 'Muricah, but our schools made us own and internalize our
failures, it was never the teacher's fault or a "bad day" that made you fail, it was you. You
were bad because your grades were bad. This turned my generation into self-loathing
