effort to ban all bots. And then they just come back again. And again. And again.
The days of CAPTCHA onwards have been the most quiet in all of 4chan.

Neither does captcha. As explained before, only a mod or janitor can do that. It is not some
magic bullet. If some mad internet genius managed to bypass mod intervention, IP bans, and file
filters, captcha would not be some knight in shining armor to protect us. It would not be a last
bastion against the tidal wave of script kiddies. It would act as quicksand in an ocean of shit.
Hackers will still circumvent security features, and people in general will just suffer on top of
that.
If 4chan, or any website for that matter, is under attack by a botnet, they aren't going to go
"hey captcha will take care of it!" No. They take the servers down until they figure out how to
clean and protect their shit.
