I'm no animal rights activist or anything. I eat meat and I understand there is a market for
various animal products, but I fail to understand why you would cause unnecessary pain and
suffering when processing an animal for its products.

Is there actually a benefit to skinning animals alive rather than dead? I would assume it

There's no reason to do anything to them live.
Just collect the roadkill ones for their skin.
If I ever see this shit in real life I will literally murder them.
Would probably get away with it if it were a 3rd world country.

It'd make a tiny hole that nobody would even notice, and you could do it from somewhere that

Ah, I gotcha. I would figure lethal injections could be used, but I doubt they would want to

Sad, but it's their livelihood. If they had other means to support themselves, they would. Fact
of the matter is that it's a lucrative trade, and animal cruelty wouldn't exist if there weren't
demand for it.

"Many fur farms skin animals alive to keep the pelts intact from damage that could occur while
killing them. To avoid bullet holes, tears or slits from a knife, fur farmers can use methods
such as beating the animal, electrocuting them, using poison to paralyse them, or breaking their
necks. Although these methods ensure an undamaged pelt, they are sometimes not enough to confirm
the death of the animal, leaving the creature to be skinned alive."

There's no such thing as "no other means". You're correct that no demand for the product would
mean no production of it, and then they'd have to find some other species of animal to beat to
death.
These people are doing this because they have zero empathy for the animals. In my experience,
people who don't feel for animal suffering don't feel for human suffering either. Meaning these
people would likely have no hesitation to kill us for money.

Meat is supposed to taste gamier (I think) when an animal is scared as fuck while dying. A lot of
hormones are released when they panic, which alters the taste.

So you'd think. But we who enjoy living in the first world with all our material comforts have
not lived a day in their shoes. They are not doing it because they enjoy it, they are doing it
because it pays, and they want the kind of living that we casually take for granted. In their
conditions and situation, if someone is too ethical to take the job, there is a line of people
waiting to gladly take their place and the money that comes with it.

Has nothing to do with torturing an animal to death.

i remember watching a peta film in high school that featured farmers smacking cows in the head
with a brick and just a bunch of general animal torture. But i think to myself, its inefficient.
I mean i know plenty of farmers and have never known one to just go around torturing his animals.
These people just take the worst examples to put in their films, and that makes me wonder why
anyone would also film the torture and post it? i remember the anti abortion people paying
abortionist doctors to film the remains of killed fetuses, what if peta is paying people to
torture animals on film to further their "animals are more valuable than people" ideas

What? All you'd need is a 1ft of water from any faucet, if that, and about a minute per animal.
If they were smart they'd work up a system to drown many animals at once. I doubt it'd take much
more time than the time it takes to stun and control a struggling animal.

Sure, let's breed billions of moths to destroy their young while they're safe and happy in their
little cocoon-womb. It's not like abortion at all. I'm sure silk farmers would slaughter human
children without a thought.
Yes, let's raise an entire colony of peaceful plant-folk just to violently decapitate, mow down,

The meat is very tender and different, but has nothing to do with 'being scared' when it dies.

Okay sure, let me take a stand point and try to understand you here.
You're against the killing of silkworms. Alright, sure, but they don't kill the silkworms, just
harvest their silk. The silkworms are usually not killed by this process, or it's a bad silk farm.
And seriously? Now they're against plant killing too? If we don't eat meat, what do we eat?
Plants. If we don't eat plants, what do we eat? Nothing, we die. We cannot photosynthesize.
