oh boy another one of these 2deep4u flashes about people who cut themselves/do drugs/ hate
themselves or whatever.
i simply can't help but think they do it for attention. i mean i have a pretty mediocre life, am
average in about every aspect, am shy, was bullied as a kid and all through my academic life for
being thin and tall (still am thin), am not rich or even upper class, have never had a gf and yet
i have friends (yes, real, living friends) that are great even if some are weird, i have no
addictions whatsoever, except if being lazy and liking games is one, and i absolutely don't hate
myself and see no reason to.
IMO the only ones who have a valid reason to do that kind of thing are the ones who live in real
misery, which doesn't seem to be the case of anyone who cuts or claims to hate himself i have
ever seen.

And that's why this doesn't click with you. You can't relate to it. The girl can be symbolism for
any kind of addiction, though the original intentions may have been cutting or drugs.

The vast majority do it for attention, or to fit in. But there are a few with serious mental
health issues, who might not live in misery, might have what seems like a perfectly good life,
but due to a chemical imbalance in the brain, or a genetic defect, are fucking miserable. But
education on mental health issues is poor, and many dismiss it, so you end up getting advice like
"get over it and stop attention seeking" instead of "see a doctor, get some tablets, and you'll
get better".
Though, as I say, the vast majority self-harm because they're 2edgy4u teens. Which only makes it
worse for the minority who are actually ill.
