Watching this show without even the concept of masturbation in my head. They seemed like, high school girls at the time. Man, they look so young here. >> [_] Anonymous07/12/12(Thu)01:17No.1717803 >># Yeah, that really got me too. Everyone looked so much older than me when I watched TV. It's weird too, when I was 14 I was like, "These stars are all like much older than me, when will they get some that are like my age." and now that I am like 18, there are a ton of 18 year old disney stars and shit but, I'm fuckin' 18, it's not like I keep up with that shit. >> [_] Anonymous07/12/12(Thu)01:21No.1717805 >># It was sort of an odd thing to realize at some point that I was now older than Kim Possible. Like... the "high school" problems that that show dealt with or parodied had all supposedly come and gone by the time I noticed that. >> [_] Anonymous07/12/12(Thu)01:23No.1717808 >># Yeah really, I had no "high school" problems or whatever, or at least none that the shows on disney and nickelodean talked about. Maybe I watched so many of those shows they prepared me to the point that I could handle any situation without noticing. Or I just never left my house when I was a teenager besides going to school. . . >> [_] Anonymous07/12/12(Thu)01:29No.1717812 >># Heh. Yeah, weird how much this sort of pretty obviously terrible (in hindsight) television influenced and shaped the way we viewed things growing up. Like, I don't go around thinking about Lizzie McGuire, but it was pretty clearly a lot of my early exposure to girls. Like, this was before I hit puberty, it was all this strange fascination that didn't seem to make much sense. I remember when I was thirteen, I went to a small school with only a few girls my age and they seemed very curious about why I wanted to spend time with them. |
