Unaccurate, It wouldn't even take that many guardsmen to kill a space marine

To be fair though, lasguns are basically the equivalent of spartan lasers. Everything is just
scaled up so hard in that game that spartan lasers are about as effective as particularly strong
flashlights.
A spartan would probably have an even fight with maybe a guardsman or two, since slug-based
bullets and comparatively weak plasma weaponry really wouldn't do terribly well against even
carapace armor. There's just way too much of a power difference between universes for it to even
be a fight.

It's made worse by the fact that in-lore and in game Space Marines are two very different
animals. In-lore they're nigh invulnerable behemoths. In the game a well placed bullet from some
mook can take one down.
The game is probably accurate to the lore of 40k.

No they aren't, a lasgun is equivilent to like, a modern day m16, the only difference is that is
has a ridiculous ammo capacity, is particularly easy to maintain, has few moving parts and has
"charge packs" that can be refilled electrically. They're used because they're versatile and
reliable, not because they're supa powerful. a spartan laser is more on par with like, a hot-shot
las-gun.

I thought spartans were those dudes who wore metal skirts and had spears like that movie 300 and
they were like greek or something

Either way it's a weapon that's not exactly difficult for the cannon fodder of the 40k universe
to get their hands on. And again, a bolter will basically waste a spartan in one shot while a
spartan can basically do nothing to most of the things in the 40k setting. A gauss cannon, rocket
launcher, spartan laser, or any of the other super-heavy weapons in Halo might do some damage,
but ultimately there's no contest when that's what's required just to keep the pace with
guardsmen and spehss mahreens are practically mega-tanks with feet by comparison.

In a 40K novel, they had guardsmen using Laserguns to fire through concrete floors in order to
hit their targets.
Lasguns are strong
