  I feel there still is an imbalance between the two genders in favor of men. Now, it is much
  better in today's first world nations than it was several decades ago, but that doesn't mean we
  can't continue to improve things.

  In particular, I think we need to be continually critical of media: how the media reflects
  society's thoughts, and how it controls them. This isn't something unique to gender. Being able
  to critically examine our media is an extremely important tool regardless.

  We also need to practice when hostility is appropriate. A reasonable, calm-headed discussion
  ought to be possible, regardless of how strongly you feel on the topic. One should always be
  willing to receive an opponent's views, assuming the opponent similarly seeks an honest
  discussion over angrily yelling. This is the only way in which we can truly go forward.
