TO EXPLAIN
People are paranoid because awhile ago swfchan implemented colour-coded cats
They are unique to your IP aswell, you can close out and come back the next day and you will
still have the same captcha that you need to do.
Changing your IP is the only thing that changes it but it's pointless because even Tor does not
hide you, everything is compromised and you just need to live with the fact that if you piss off
the wrong person your local government might just get "tipped off".
Could it happen to a normal anon?
Who knows, you would think this sort of thing would only be used against hackers that actually
pose a threat.
Now everyone has dirt on them, not just the corrupt politicians so you better watch your fucking
mouth if you don't want your life to turn way more upside down than it already is.

I just fired up my VPN and clicked a random flash on swfchan. It asked me a for a captcha. I
think you're full of shit Anonymous-san.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/15/14(Sun)17:06 No.2417642
>>2417593
I think you missed the point, obviously a VPN wouldn't nullify the existance of a captcha system
because why would changing your IP do that?
The point was that lets say you got an orange captcha with the sequence 8FTV27
If you decided to exit out before even solving the captcha, that very same captcha would be there
again when you went back to swf.
The point was that only changing your IP leads the captcha to reset and do a different sequence
like blue G2A755
This leads me to believe a list of sorts is being created; call it paranoid I don't give a fuck
but that is just the world we live in right now and if you don't believe me even in the slightest
then what fucking rock have you been living under?

No faggot. My point was that you are full of shit, because you said
>Changing your IP is the only thing that changes it but it's pointless because even Tor does not
hide you
when you obviously can.
Also, fine by me. Let them trace IPs with captcha. I don't have to type a new one everytime I
visit swfchan, since it's saved in the system. I don't live in glorious FREEDOMLAND, so I don't
have to worry about a boot in my neck as soon as I open something "dangerous".

the swfchan captcha system was upgraded on 23 of april 2014. now the captcha assigned for a IP is
remembered longer. there's no reason what so ever to shout that the site is "compromised" just
because of that
>> [_] Anonymous 06/15/14(Sun)17:20 No.2417657
>>2417646
Yeah, it isn't a big deal at all, but tbh they shouldn't be storing user IPs anyway. They have no
reason to. If they wanted to recognize a specific user, they could easily do that through a
locally stored cookie.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/15/14(Sun)17:29 No.2417667
>>2417657
Cookies and IPs could both be used.
A new IP would indicate a new session on shittily made websites, so they assume "hurr new person"
and give a new CAPTCHA because for some fucking stupid reason people still seem to think the
world dishes out static IPs to anyone.
Literally most ISPs don't use static IPs for average shit consumer-tier plebs.
Some even splice multiple peoples connections in to one IP by splitting up the port ranges and
virtually offsetting them to the absolute required port ranges needed for a connection to
function. (just barely!)
That causes a lot of problems with websites, especially with bans, captchas, sessions and other
general stuff.
Christ, you people are going to go full hermit when IPv6 comes around. Enjoy your thousands of
unique IPs only for you.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/15/14(Sun)17:34 No.2417670
>>2417657
Most site's store IPs. All forums or imageboards does this when you post. Google stores your
information like crazy. Usually the software that runs on the server creates logs that store your
IP address by default. Your ISP might store the URLs that your IP has visited.
Long story short, if you want to be paranoid about storage of IP you gotta be it all the time on
all sites on the web.
Also, so it's stored that your IP has this captcha? Big deal, there's a million IPs that are
assigned a million captchas. And a million people change IP dynamically every day. You're just a
drop in the bucket.
>> [_] Anonymous 06/15/14(Sun)17:37 No.2417672
>>2417670
continued: Besides, you don't even know if it's also stored what flashes you've watched. Imagine
how much disk space that would take up, storing all watch history of all IPs on all days forever.
I really don't think it's stored what you have watched. And then you might have just watched some
funny clip on swfchan and no porn at all, as far as anyone knows. If anyone ever bothers to ask,
which nobody ever will in a million years.
>>2417667
The world is still waiting for IPv7. Nobody wants a IP that humans cant remember and that you
have to surround with [] just to specify a port.

...IPv7 isn't a thing.
All odd numbers are test / experimental.
And more to the point, any change would be under IPv6.1 or something of the like, unless it was
stupidly different, in which case it would be 8.

And to the people who aren't shills and still devote time to trying convince others that nothing

Not if it involves being this afraid of captcha... I'm 100% sure Google stores IPs of the one
answering a captcha too, and on which site. Even if they use cookies that info is unlikely to be
thrown away by the biggest info-collectors out there.
Yet he seems fine with posting here (solving captcha etc)... I smell someone that are just joking.

The captcha here on the chan is different, its compiled of words that are posted and even some

But the captcha on swfchan is custom made, tailored to IPs and to boot is short and colour-coded

The problem is not the captcha is the way it's being used and where.
Swfchan is a flash archive site but we all know why we go there, we go there mainly to fap but
why would we need captcha to fap? You cannot spam your fap, only spread it so why put a captcha
system that is ment to regulate and observe?
