Evangelion did far too well and they didn't treat Imaishi nicely enough. Had they tamed Anno and
kept the Imaishi crew happy they could have done a nice transition instead of losing two camps of
talent and winding up getting beat in 2013 sales by Boku no Rotoscopes.

This is Gainax?? This is actually pretty cool. It's like simply animating for the sake of having
animation. Doesn't seem to be much point to it, more like "I just want to do this."...and then
doing it.
...and there was a lot of effort put into it as well. It's awesome; like "My head is full of
fuck!" awesome.

Daicon III was done entirely by Anno and two others, with a couple people helping out. It was
done super budget. They made their own cels from a roll of vinyl because buying cels was too
expensive.
Daicon IV was made with the profits from III when they sold 8mm rolls after it was shown. A lot
more people were involved though Anno still played a big roll. Apparently it was run like a
literal sweatshop where people were locked in to work overnight without air conditioning.
