I need to point out three things:
If this is an actual kill, it's very straightforward and in he proper manner to do such a thing:
1: No pain, no BS. Straight shot through the brain to a quick kill with minimal agony.
2: In a controlled environment, with a single shot. There's never an opportunity for the bullet
to harm anything other than the target.
3: The owner has a specific target and shoots only that target. This has been thought through
carefully.
That being said, the owner/person is an asshole for feeling he needs to make this sort of
statement. Horses are put down all the time by even the most respectful of owners, making a
spectacle of it degrades the horse and the owner.

The horse was actually being slaughtered.
The context, you see, was in relation to attempts to open up a plant for horse slaughter a while
back. There'd been a lot of protests, and the man in the video had been constantly harassed by
animal rights activists.
What the activists fail to realize, is that the inability to slaughter horses really just makes
it so much more likely for a horse unable to be cared for to fall into abuse or neglect. The
whole thing was stupid.
