That's a matter of preference and/or hygiene, really.
Some guys do shave them, and some girls don't. Not so much a matter of "need" for either party.
Personally speaking, I'm with >>14518 on that matter.
Also, I think it's working off of implant physics, because you're right in the notion that breasts
don't work that way naturally. They'd need something to help them maintain that shape and position
for certain.
