Maybe if it was supposed to be a game about geometric shapes I could get around it, but no it wasn't that cool ass game about shapes. I must also have been spoiled by playing games were even if the characters were a hand full of pixels that resembled human form they looked believable. Examples: Darklands, King's Quest, Every FF game except 7, Zombies Ate My Neighbor. Before the time I understood the importance of graphics it filtered me with visual feces.
