lol i dont know how people can argue that dota is superior to LoL or vise versa... there pretty
much the same damn game, they do little to nothing to stand apart from each other. unlike smite,
strife, infinite crisis, SMNC(before it died)... i cant comprehend how people can argue
superiority, of two things that are so close to the same they could be blended together and no
one would know the diffrence.

it pretty much is... most of the players just play becasue they think they are going to be able
to quit their job at mcdonalds and be able to make a living as Competitive player. (which is the
reason the community in the game is almost as much of a cesspool as most of the boards here)

It is the console wars. People put time or money into one and become emotionally invested in it.
They don't want to feel like they have made a mistake, so they will fight tooth and nail.
DotA fans go with being the origin that everyone copies and LoL fans go with being the most

I've played both, and its easy to say that dota has far more depth and higher skill ceiling, not
only for the player but also for the teams themselves.
To me when you say they are both the same, its simply because you don't care to see the
difference.
Like saying you can't tell the difference between coffee and tea, and that if they were mixed up
no one could tell the difference, then pointing out how different coke is.
