You're all wrong.
It's about his struggle with gender identity and whether or not he goes through with a sex
change. Try different options. See all the endings and find out for yourself.
The girl isn't real. You can tell by the static. What is she then? She's a part of him, a
different identity.
He talks about whether or not he is happy with this female identity. Staying with her results in
some kind of operation. Ditching her gives a more healthy balanced outcome. "I can carry on
without her. Hopefully I never have to see her again, etc".
Ultimately we find someone who is pressured to become a female by his own insecurities. You find
this out if you confront her about his decision to carry on without her. He really doesn't need
her but is convinced he does, and thus the conflict arises. The resolution isn't to get a sex
change, it's deciding he can continue living happily by just accepting who he is.
