Showing looping, incomplete versions of maneuvers is hardly a way to scrutinize them, anything
looks stupid if you cut and loop it, dialog in a movie, dancing clips, people shooting each other.
Also, Jedi intentionally avoid aiming for torso, head, or inner limbs, because they view them as
inhumane attacks and are trained to try and disarm or remove forearms since they can be replaced
with a prosthetic anyway. Obviously they would've wanted Darth Maul alive so they could figure
out who the fuck he is and why the Sith are coming back, so they weren't about to decapitate him
especially since that violates Jedi principles, and makes them like the Sith they fear.
