  I only really liked the first generation of heroes, but the villains were goddamn awesome. I
  always increased the villain army's size but never got new heroes, made em more badass that way.

  I don't know when it was but they released those crab alien spider things that had really neat
  designs. Basically, it rolled up into a ball and I always found that design endearing and awesome.

  But why? LEGO's overreach into things unrelated to brick building -- things like Bionicle
  cartoons, movies, and video games -- was the major reason they nearly went bankrupt. That, and
  the expansion of brick types, again something Bionicle was partly responsible for.
