I never really understood the movie that well.
There are like 5 different versions of it and
on top of that there are a bunch of fan edits.
Could someone enlighten me on this?
Or should I just read the book?

don't read the book since it has not much in common with the movie and explains nothing more than
the movie does, alas it takes its own different path of handling "androids"
I think the final cut is the one you want to see

Final Cut is the best version, but for some reason, Ridley decided to shoehorn the idea of
Deckard being a replicant in there, when the writers, actors, and THE FUCKING AUTHOR OF THE
ORIGINAL NOVEL all wrote him as a human. So, for the unicorn scene, which is commonly used to
support this theory, you can just view it as Deckard thinking of Rachel and the common dream that
all replicants have.

Final Cut it is then.
Thanks for the advice! =)
I watched this movie a LONG time ago and don't even know what version that was.... it was on VHS
though I remember that.

I remember now from the book deckhart actually tok the voight kampff test which was negative
also I think I only enjoyed only like 5-6 pages from the whole book when he went paranoid about
his work and everyone and everything he knew (when he couldn't call his boss to prove that he was
a real cop) it would be much much more interesting from there on, but no, he actually did make
that call and everything went back to normal
