Wow; that guy has hilarious art blinders on. I like how he focuses on a few extreme pieces of
modern art and completely ignores the massive volume of work being produced today in every
fucking style ever crafted. If he wants more David's cut by hand form marble, I guarantee there
are artists doing exactly that.
He also ignores how things like the development of photography drove impressionists to abandon
the high-detail painting styles that were prized in the classical period, or how the classic art
cannon completely ignores art produced outside of Europe, regardless of its classical merit.
Really, what I heard was, "Art today doesn't appeal to me, and often occurs on subjects I don't
like. We should all boycott and shame people who don't please me specifically."
And fuck his Pollock test; I don't even like Pollock, and I recognized that shit as a messy paint
rag on the outset. If his students can't tell the difference, it's because he's a shitty teacher.

it's still retarded how some things are pulled of as art, such as a blank canvas, splatters or
just a rock. Anyone could have done that, and youre not admiring a unique piece or art that could
only have been presented by that skill level of that artist. Some modern art is still very good,
but some like the examples he gave, are complete shit and shouldnt be accepted or be worth
thousands of dollars
