Bonus points for the exact moment when you realize that Horo was in fact using the protagonist
for the entire course of the series and slowly grooming him to be her mate/high priest. Further
bonus points when -he- realizes it, but also realizes almost simultaneously that he's now
hopelessly in love with her despite the fact that he's the latest in a line of literally hundreds
of other mortals she's used for the same purpose since the dawn of time.
Kind of chilling and heartwarming at the same time.
