  I love how in these racing shows and movies there's two cars neck and neck, and then one of them
  shifts into some higher gear to go faster, then the other does, then one pulls out a rocket
  boost, then the other goes into overdrive, then they just go back and forth making their
  respective cars go faster using secret tricks.

  Why is it that they wait until then? Why not pull out your rocket boosts and afterburners in the
  beginning?
