[_] Looking for a music video Anonymous 09/09/14(Tue)00:15 No.2520774

I can't remember who it was or what the song name was. All I remember is that the vocals / audio
quality for the song was pretty lo-fi, and visually, it seemed to be clips of a highschool kid
and I guess his girlfriend going to some sort of fair. The visuals were also lo-fi, and probably
taken from some old show / movie.
I thought that the title or the lyrics may have the word "star" in them, but I'm probably wrong
  on that.
  Any help?

That would be atlas by Art lord and the self portraits. They are the precursor to the band Future
  Islands.

YES! That is it. Thank you. Is their stuff worth checking out? This one has just been nagging me,
even though I haven't seen it for about 2 months.

Fuck I just dropped 150 bucks on shirts and vinyls when Future islands came to Columbus last
sunday. I'm going to be biased and say Future islands is worth listening to if you enjoy the
  Vocals. they're not for everyone.

  agree 100%

Live performance blows the already great albums out of the water. both times i've seen them have
been absolutely amazing. I was sober both times too, I can only imagine...

  >Long Flight

  Good choice my man.

I have a tough time debating but Tin Man is mine, as lyrically, it's so biting.

I've never seen them underdeliver and am always impressed by Sam's delivery.

Tin man was my jam for the longest time. It was also the ONLY song I listened to for the longest
time. Then I heard Give us the Wind when on the water came out and it went from there.

That last stanza of long flight connects with me personally on so many levels.

  >>2520799
god damn it was amazing last sunday. I got there at doors and never moved from the front of the
stage. No stage security so plenty of contact with Sam who did everything short of stage diving.

I'm not looking to offend you but... Why the fuck is Jack Black slapping himself and limping at
the beginning of the song? I like the song though.

not him but Sam has a very expressive and wild stage presence. it's part of the appeal. not for
  everyone for sure.

  Came because of cream,
  stayed for past Future Islands.

Swear to god, I think they are THE band 4chan listens to now.
