>> [_] Anon 2094899 I'm no expert on hang gliders, but the positioning of his hands seem, primarily, to be what caused his crash (His lack of belief aside). Whenever I see hang gliders mid-flight, they have their hands on that cross-bar. Pushing on that cross-bar shifts your weight towards the rear of the glider, allowing the nose to tilt upwards and allowing you to gain higher altitude. The reverse, of course, applies. Pulling on it shifts your weight towards the front of the cross-bar, and dips the nose towards the ground. Having your hands right there on the diagonal struts basically ensures all of your weight will be right there at the nose from takeoff until (Crash-)landing. Conclusion: Hang Gliding Participant needs Hang Gliding Lessons.
