The Oculus is supposed to make you experience like you're inside the game, right? Because that's
what virtual reality is supposed to do. When I play a game I usually am so immersed into it I
feel like I am already inside the game, and eventually I shift into an altered state of mind in
which I truly am. But from what I've seen with the Oculus Rift, all it does is bring your eyes
closer to the screen, and I don't see how that can be enjoyed.

The idea is that you move your head - the ingame character moves their head too. So you 'can'
look around a room. This is accomplished with the built-in motion sensors.
I actually don't like this idea. But it could be step into better technology.

Don't worry, Magic Leap will make immersive content better with its cinematic reality.
...just as soon as they figure out what the hell the Magic Leap and "cinematic reality" is, what
with their technomages and code dwarves working on it.

Oculus Rift is gonna come out, be a thing for a few years, and then fade back into the darkness
where it belongs. Virtual Reality isn't going to be that popular. Even if the thing does come
out, it's gonna be expensive, which will be part of it's downfall.

That's if it isn't done right. But if done correctly it could pave a whole new generation for
gaming.
I really hope before my life ends, I get to see it happen.
