I just got past level 160. It's a pretty trying game, I have no idea how others make it so far in
this, it helps though when you play again after a few days coming back to it.

Once you can get to 160 just make a bunch of quick runs up to 150 or so to get a ton of souls

Nothing yet. Each adds +10% DPS so they're pretty useful even without spending. Wait until you
get ~10 (so double damage) and then ascend. You'll run through much more quickly with the damage
boost so you can get even more souls and repeat until you have 40 or 50, then start buying
ancients
