If I recall properly, this had something to do with a campaign against the slaughter of horses of
some kind.
The guy couldn't do business with the horse anymore, and as it has a cost for maintenance he
simply kills it, the message he intends to convey is that in the end the activism didn't achieve

It is because everyone of European descendents lived with horses through the absolute worst of
times for thousands of years as we were evolving.
In actual fact, horses are more of a mans best friend than the dog is.
You can see this is pretty true when most people that never expanded out in to Europe will
happily eat dog, horse, cat and other meats since they never really interacted with them on much
of a social level.

Nitrogen is the absolutely most humane way to put anything down since by the time you already
noticed you felt breathless, you'd already be seconds from dying anyway.

Nitrogen killing is trivial.
You can separate nitrogen from the air very very fucking easily.
In fact, it is cheaper than the electricity they use and the time they spend frying their brains.
As for the bullets to the head part, that is debatable. Bullets are so cheaply available that it
would probably just be easier to use that.
Admittedly you could have a person have a nitrogen container and mask to let the cow inhale it
and just drift off.
That'd be cheaper than a gun in the long run.
Nitrogen is more potent than bullets.
In all honesty, wasting money on bullets is worse when you could whack it over the head with a
metal bat really hard and it would die instantly. Completely free after initial purchase, no
refills require! AWE!
