The manga was great, but the pacing was far too slow for an anime. I don't need FLCL levels of
ADHD, but it really doesn't need to be so damn slow.
Underrated... well, maybe Paranoia Agent, but that's because it's a confusing goddamn mess for
most of its run. IDK.

Obvious spoilers, Tenma, I think his name was, trains with guns, hunts for Yohan all over
Germany, sees everything he's done, knows he's a fucking psychopath that will probably never
stop, and when hes finally got the barrel of his gun to Yohan's head, he pusses out. And out of
the blue, that one guy just so happens upon this failure, freaks out, then shoots Yohan in the
head. So at this point I'm a little scued but ok at least there was some closure,but no. Yohan
winds up in the hospital which is bullshit I mean surviving a bullet to the head, it's possible,
I've heard of it happening before, but twice, no fucking way. To top it off end-credits show
Yohan's empty hospital bed, implying he's made a quite a recovery and has wondered off, so
nothing is resolved and we're left with a cliffhanger.

I loved Monster and story it told, it held a certain su-realness to it while keeping it
plausible, made a human character fucking terrifying, and used the setting to it's advantage,
which is why the ending ruined it for me.

I was expecting an ending that would tie up everything in a nice little bow but it was just left
undone......that being said, it was a long fucking time ago and I may be remembering that wrong.
