Why do Japanese games always exaggerate numbers when it comes to video games?
The scores always go into the billions, damage in the thousands, etc...

Bigger numbers are more satisfying, I guess. We deal with small numbers (the distance of 5
meters, diameter of 3 centimeters, 7 kilograms of dirt, etc.) that obey a system which makes them
easier to convey, and renders larger numbers smaller. When we see big numbers without any
shortening, especially ones with high variation, it's more surprising, and describes your success
in higher detail.

well 100 yen is around a 1 dollar. So they're used to seeing and expressing larger numbers anyway.

The music was completely out of sync with the steps for me. Not sure if just shit like that or
pulseaudio (usually not an issue with stepmania).
