metal lunchboxes with pictures and stuff on them were beyond popular in the 50's. The fad began
to slow down a bit in the 60's but it still went on. It finally died (or become incredibly
scarce) by the 80's. At least in the US. Japan still used them well into the 90's.
my aunts from hawaii and she gave me a speed racer lunch box when I was a kid. I felt so cool
pulling that bad boy out in first grade when everyone else had pleb tier plastic lunch
boxes..........took up a shitton of space tho
