Every time I see this I just imagine butthurt Europeans bitching about how Americans act.
Football is football because the ball is one foot long. The game was not designed around
commercials since it existed before those even existed. The commercial flooding is a problem,
however, and football fans do not like it. I'd prefer it if the game only went to commercials on
timeouts, injuries, and end of quarter. We call is soccer as an abbreviation for Association
Football. How ASSOC evolved into soccer is beyond me. Hope you guys learned something.

the real issue is that americans get all defensive, like you, about it. instead of just adapting
to whats logical and to what most of the world call the sport you make excuses and continue to
believe you are right. there was already a sport called football, it's pretty dumb to name a new
sport the same as an already existing one. but americans continue to tell themselves that "nah,
we r the best", ignoring all logic you throw at them
