Dancing is movement that matches a song. This is a seizure masquerading as "deep" art.

I'm not into performance art, but if this is the way that this guy is able to express himself
then I'm not going to deride his decision to do so. It's not "karate" anything, it's just
interpretive dance, which is enjoyable for a vanishingly small group of people.

The fact that Zefrank's narration has to do with anxieties and shyness, and your reaction to the
choreographic accompaniment is to disregard it as either pretension or incompetence indicates how
little of the message you decided to accept as important.

im not saying the message isnt important at all
im saying a piece needs to work together as a whole and meld seamlessly whether it all comes
together and makes sense later on or it melds together throughout the entire piece

if people did the waltz at some Metallica concert that doesnt work
if a moshpit formed at a country hoedown that doesnt work

like i said if at the end it did a top down view of some encasement/shell/egg whatever something
that represents shyness and insecurity that would have amazed me and the whole dance would have
  made sense
but the whole dance was chaotic which speaks to me he isnt afraid and has a wild character
unafraid of doing things that are considered "outside of the box" which is vastly opposite of
what the speech is talking about

it doesnt make sense and yea this guy >>2642915

Sometimes, things are popular because they're actually pretty good. The corollary is also true:
sometimes things aren't popular because they're not really good ideas.

  >>The fact that Zefrank's narration has to do with anxieties and shyness, and your reaction to
the choreographic accompaniment is to disregard it as either pretension or incompetence indicates

You're goddamn right I didn't accept it as important, that's my opinion: I don't think there is
  any deeper meaning.

It doesn't resonate. The main reason why is because it lacks any kind of catharsis. It has a nice
buildup, but it doesn't really truly provide the viewer with any kind of soul-changing epiphany.
It starts a nice thing with the "you are not alone" theme, but it doesn't wrap it up. Instead, we
get a nice postcoitus afterglow shot and are left to draw interpretations.

I'll have to agree with these faggots. Although the video has a nice anecdotal message and is
sure to appeal to those whom are insecure with their shyness, the actions didn't work out a
smoothly as they should have. The whole time I was watching this I had consciously justify the
dance as part of the whole message, rather than being able to enjoy both the visual and audible
aspects simultaneously. A good example of an inspirational video is the "famous failures" shit we
all saw more than half a decade ago. Don't get me wrong -- the dance is great, it just felt too
out of sync with the speaker.

The part where the guy talks about the shell matches quite well with the guy's dance. Also the
part where he talks about releasing pent up energies.

When he talks about the tree growing, the dancer covers himself in paint, similar to tree bark.

Could go on, you fail to see the beauty in this peice because you give yourself this
hyper-critical persona. Chill out faggot and enjoy the pretty colors, nice words and sharp body

  Actually I'll go on.

"Tried to reach out" Dancer reaches his arm out

"Called names designed to cause maximum damage" Dancer takes massive blow to the stomach and
  levitates.

"saying wrong words" Spews out red paint

"Way out or in" Dancer hands, look at them

you're retarded if you think it was possible for the dance move to systematically match the
speech. Also having a shell painted would have been cool but he's not a fn painter, just painting
a shell on such a massive canvas with that much paint without the restrictions of the dance
  routine would be complicated.

  top kek.

but yeah, it does lack at the end. i myself was pretty sure it was gonna form an image of sorts
but no, it's just a dude lying in ink. and he wasn't even moving or picking/mixing colors in
synch with the narration to convey some sort of meaning like the colors/ink are emotions, it was
just pure unrelated nonsense. it's as if they took a random video, muted it and put the narration
on top. they could have put the cheeki breeki guys and it would have been the same.

in fact, requesting version of this with cheeki breeki or "boy next door".

the narrator himself said the dude "found" theater and used it to get out of his "shell", so not
only would there be no problem with him doing a theater routine instead of a dance, it would have
tied better with the narrative, thus tying everything together as a whole.

Didn't even say it was praiseworthy. But that the critics were retards seeking for some type of
internet critique credit. It has some flaws, namely the ending could have been a bit more
dramatic or at least be shot from "bird's eye" view. But to say that it's pretentious pointless
pseudo art and that the dancing and the speech don't match together is pretty fucking retarded.

I didn't have to, a kid could have picked up on it quite easily. I did it on the account that the

And I really can't picture how a theatrical piece would have tied in better with the speech quite
frankly. Maybe that's because I'm not a flipping producer, but maybe you have what it takes for
