If it doesn't artifact on your PC then that's fine anon. It just happens to cause artifacts on a
lot of hardware so a lot of people don't like it. It's nothing that you should feel strongly
about.

The main issue I have with vlc is the font cache rebuilding thing that takes upwards of 5 minutes
on my machine.
I use mpv now, and it works perfectly fine.
