I disagree. Although this should apply universally to everyone on the internet, some words are
meant to hurt. That's half the point of poetry; to invoke emotion, and anger, being hurt, that's

I can agree with most of this.
I was teased/bullied in school.
Then in highschool, second to last and last year, we have a discussion with some questions and
one is "Do you think bullying builds character?".
Everyone goes over to the "No" side.
I stand alone on the yes side. They ask why I say "If it wasn't for the dipshits bullying me I
probably would've never learned to act independently. Did I have it the worst? No, but it forced
me to react and adapt when my personality as a kid was the introverted kind completely reliant on
others for help".
Even though that sounds condescending even to me now, I still believe that.
The day that I realized I could simply stand up to them to make them fuck off was the best day
there was. It was also the day I learned that they were fucking human beings, and reducing them
down to the simplest terms like "bully" is simply lacking empathy and that they thought of me in
the same simple terms so I'd be no better than them.
