"tips fedora". Originally funny but now pretty much the dominant 'argument' used in a religious

LITERALLY NOONE CARES.
Atheism is like the most fucking NORMAL edgy teenage phase. What you want to be allowed to
discuss linkin park here as well?
Fuck you, Linkin Park is shit and everybody knows it.
Other than that you're just fucking retarded and have a pretty narrow view of the world. If it
wasn't religion, it would've been something else.
The important thing wasn't the fucking euphoria of discovering a phony god, it was the ability to
communicate across big distances so the oppressed could unite.
If you think modern society's evolution has anything to do with some fucking euphoric
enlightenment, then you are just as euphoric as the ones you're trying to disassociate yourself
from.

All I've got to say is, you haven't grown up until you stop caring what people believe and
instead care about what people do.
There are a lot of people who refuse to grow up out there.

If you're an atheist, please don't pretend like you're smarter than people who have religious
faith, because you "live a life of proof, logic, and reason", because you don't.
Unless you're an absolute fucking genius, then you believe in scientific principles that are
beyond your capacity to solve. "The proof" may exist, it may be out there, and I'm sure the smart
scientists comprehend it, but if you can't do the math and science required to understand the
proof, then you can't KNOW that certain things are proven, therefore you're operating on faith.
You have faith in something that you can't personally prove because you have faith in the people
who say they can prove it. And science is proven until technology comes around and fatally
disproves it, and so on and so forth as we TRY to find the answers but only get close. You are
not smarter than someone who believes in a god just because you believe in science that you can't
even understand on your own.

>there are actually people out there who think that not believing in god makes you an annoying

about religion?

Not even the theory of Gravity is proven, because we don't know how Gravity works outside our own
universe.
The funny thing about Science is that it's a game of questions, not answers. Because the second
you say you "know" anything from science, technology advances and disproves it. The world is not
flat, the earth is not the center of the solar system, and we're not the only galaxy in our
universe.
You can make fun of people who practice religious faith which cannot be proven all you want.
Meanwhile everyone's going to make fun of you for being shit at science and math, yet claims to
"know" more about the universe than others, because he thinks science is about answers, and has
had a solid answer that hasn't been debunked in the past millennia.

Because I'm going on the assumption that atheist amish don't exist, and he doesn't strictly
believe in a world that he can prove, which is a large isolation chamber with simple tools and
grade school chemistry sets.
I know I'm in the wrong for assuming that the person using a computer to access the internet may
be delving into the world of math and science a bit, but I think I'll go ahead and make that
leap. I have that kind of faith.

the main problem is that nowadays people who simply make fun of religion are starting to get
grouped as pompous militant atheist assholes who think they are intellectually superior.
when in fact they where probably just agnostics who where making fun of religion.

>doesn't strictly believe in a world that he can prove
To be fair, it is possible to not believe in a higher being and not strictly rely on proof at the
same time. It is OK to say "I don't know everything, but choose to not believe in God anyways".
Your assumption doesn't hold for that guys post, though.
>assuming that the person using a computer to access the internet may be delving into the world
of math and science a bit
That really has nothing to do with anything in this discussion.
Why are you suddenly making the leap from "religious person" to "math science math science math
science"?
What is so hard to understand about a person who doesn't believe in God, and also doesn't claim
to have proof of everything?
