why did it double in size?
>> [_] !!NvLmRWvyi5M 04/10/15(Fri)21:03 No.2745463
>>2745452
Because I made it a different way, didn't compress the audio and used vector images instead of
bitmap images.
all for the sake of quality.

now the audio is mono instead of stereo, and I have no idea what you mean by pause. is there
there a button I'm missing?

imo there's no effective difference between mono and stereo, and I've always used mono. Is there
a reason to use one or the other?
>> [_] Anonymous 04/10/15(Fri)21:22 No.2745486
>>2745480
There's a pretty obvious difference if you listen to your other one and then this, especially
with headphones on. I'd say stereo is generally preferred as it does sound less compressed.
Either way I like the flash, always glad to see decent OC. Just my 2 cents on the quality

mono makes sure if you ear things the same in both ears but stereo makes it so that it sounds how
it was recorded like different noises in each ear

You might want to go back and check again, because those are most definitely JPGs stored in your
file.

...you don't know what the difference is?...

the source files are pngs actually, but they're not just left that way. they're broken apart so
they scale better.
>>2745489
>>2745486
as a side note, I went back to my file and published with the sound compressed as stereo and the
filesize jumped to around 11.5Mb

I said no effective difference, just don't see a reason to prefer one over the other

PNG isn't a vector format either. Have you any idea what you're talking about?
You need SVGs in there.
Your audio, on the other hand, while mono, is uncompressed. Seriously, if you want to make it
smaller, at least consider mp3 before chopping down an entire channel.
>> [_] !!NvLmRWvyi5M 04/10/15(Fri)21:33 No.2745503
>>2745499
I've never used SVGs, don't have the software for it
>> [_] Anonymous 04/10/15(Fri)21:38 No.2745507

Inkscape is free. That said, there is no good way to actually convert raster formats to vector
formats without redrawing it by hand.
So let me summarize what you've done here:
By recompressing the images to jpg, you've reduced image quality
By exporting the audio as mono wav, you've reduced audio quality while massively increasing file
size
And you've posted it while claiming, with a straight face, that you've increased quality.
I have no words.

Drop a sauce on the anime? (or is it just a flash?)

And the benefit from using it over a stereo mp3 are nil. Nobody's watching these flashes on their
hi-fi.

Audio was better on the older version. Surely you couldn't have saved that much by switching to
mono? It's extremely noticeable.
