In terms of manpower, yes, China has a "larger" military, but it is still very far behind
technologically compared to the US.
The largest Air Force in the world is the US Air Force
The second-largest Air Force in the world is the US Navy.
The US has more aircraft carriers than all of Asia combined.
There is no way that the Chinese military could take on US even while having more people, just
ask /k/.
Oh, and if you are comparing the number of people in a military, then North Korea has the
highest, with China in second, and Vietnam in third. You never ever hear anyone say N.Korea or
Vietnam are world powers, because sheer number of people doesn't correspond with military power.
