Fucking cool at the time. >> Anonymous 3apr2015(fr)09:22 No.19000 A P3 Feels like screensavers are a thing of the past. Anyone still use them? Never understood why Windows removed starfield, I liked that one. Have a cat playing with marquee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t17BlwEsBYE Also remember After Dark? It was a huge collection of screensavers, remember a friend of my parents that had that and I was very fascinated as a kid. Computers were magical in those days. >> Anonymous 3apr2015(fr)09:26 No.19001 A P4 Not to forget: Johnny Castaway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVgGfKY91Lg I think this screensaver costed money but was spread by friends via floppy disk. >> Anonymous 3apr2015(fr)23:25 No.19021 B P5R2 >>19000 fucking get, man I still use custom screen savers, like I did since the dawn of my computer days. Loved to watch the maze on '95 though, not as screensaver. Just for kicks. >> Anonymous 15apr2015(we)02:59 No.19282 C P6R3 I used to watch this in class all the time... My friend and I had a game where we'd try to spot that rat-beast thing that randomly appears and take screenshots of it lol. Anyone know the source of the music? >> Jakku 15apr2015(we)12:13 No.19290 D P7R4 The song is from Ninja Gaiden on NES. >> Anonymous 15apr2015(we)15:03 No.19291 A P8R5 >>19282 Kids today don't know how lucky they are. When I was their age we were watching screensavers trying to screenshot rat sprites and we were damned pleased with what we had! Wouldn't pressing print screen disable the screensaver though? >> Anonymous 16apr2015(th)06:01 No.19315 C P9R6 >>19290 Awesome! Turns out it's Unbreakable Determination (stage 4-2 theme). I remember playing this game, but I sucked at it and never made it far enough to hear this lol. >>19291 lol I kinda miss how easily entertained I was. Or maybe Anon 2 was right and computers were just more magical back then. I miss that. But yeah, I'm not sure how, but we ended up being able to hit print screen without stopping it. We put all the screenshots in a folder on the desktop. There were hundreds of pictures of this rat. We used to draw shit in ms paint and import them for the wall textures and whatnot as well. When the teacher found the folder, she was very perplexed. Strange what we consider good memories, eh? |
