This actually seems like a deconstruction of "internet humour"
Are the jokes we tell inherently funny or or is the humour in the social value of repetition and
recognition?

interesting point. the subject of this particular board being that of discovery OF patterns {i.e.
repetition & recog.), which is the substance of memes, as i understand it, leads one to the
conclusion that the "humor" (stuff we laugh or chuckle at) is predicated upon the special
knowledge of a particular vocabulary: memes themselves. exactly WHAT is being communicated? who
knows. it is enough that it looks both familiar and absurd and the context creates the cognitive
dissonance which allows the gap between expectation and awareness to be filled by yocks.
