An android is a humanoid robot.
A cyborg is an entity that combines artificial and biological components. Though major's body is
completely mechanical and her brain has been cybornized. Part of her brain and her brain stem are
still organic so she still classifies as a cyborg since she is not fully 100% robotic.

There is, but that's the premise behind the show.
She cyberized most of her brain and body, but kept portions of her brain to maintain the presence
of her 'ghost' or soul. Just nobody is really sure how much you need to keep.
Hence, Ghost in the Machine. At which point does a human stop being a human? Is it possible the
Tachikoma's - a robot to begin with - could develop a Ghost of their own and be considered living
beings, regardless of their manufactured existance?
