eat fruit
pink and you eat more fruits
reproduce and pink does not move
children eat lots
things eat children and warm on the pink's remains
you eat the children eaters
you eat dots until you grow large
god ends you then forgives you
lots of meaning and subtext available that i feel has been probably presented before and in a
more moving way. The whole thing is very professional and valuable but i just feel bored by it.

It presents itself as having deep meaning when it has no real gameplay, no instructions, no
actual story, and any sort of "moral" implications are completely defunct because literally the
only other option is to just not play the game at all. In fact, some levels basically do it for
you. You can just sit there and then grab the one thing that finally pops up at the end.
The voice effect is the only cool thing about it, the rest is just really bland, clearly trying
to be artistic, but it doesn't have any actual meaning to it, just pretend meaning.

While I initially disagreed with you, I understand where you're coming from. It really was just
moving around and collecting little grey squares until you collect the last black square. And
regarding the storyline, I only understood that it was based on the book of Genesis by its title,
and not by the actual game.
Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it.

OK, it's basic arrowkeys/WASD movement and it's basically just point A to point B movement, but

It's not about disagreement with the message for me. It's about holding the art form to a higher
standard than just "let's have some squares eat some other squares with ambient music over it".
It's attempting to become a deepening experience but the makers didn't really put forth all that
much effort into it when you compare it to others in the genre.
In light of others, this one could be seen at best average.

My free will is actually evidenced by my refusal to play by the narrative of the game and instead

>knowledge fruit
people keep making this mistake
it wasn't some general "fruit of knowledge", it was specifically "knowledge of good and evil".
adam and eve didn't magically turn smart after eating the fruit, they simply developed a moral
conscience.

Which truth be told, wasn't needed before they ate the fruit. If they hadn't eaten the fruit, God
would have ensured that they didn't need the knowledge, because all their actions were condoned
by God and therefore good.
You say that when they ate the fruit, the gained a moral conscience. The first thing that they
did with that moral conscience, was regret their failure of God's command. They ate only regret.

"Forgiven"
If I stab a guy, go to jail then get our of jail, I still stabbed the guy. It doesn't condone the
stabbing. Just because reciprocal punishment was administered doesn't change the nature of the
crime, the fact that it happened or in any way expunge it.
God is just a total bro, so he's like "Oh fuck dude, it's cool. We can still chill."
>>2700938
Raised Catholic, but I'm more into ethics than conventional Christian morality. I don't do by the
book standards, which say that you should believe or do something because they have the authority
to tell you. In this case it is right and just to follow God, because he has done good for you,
given happiness and provided. The violation of that gift is intrinsically wrong, so I'm not going
to do it.

if self-aware morality is what caused a divergence from God's word, then before eating it, every
action they made was in line with God, i.e. God had no influence. So when the knowledge was
gained, only then were other sins possible. So not to say that humans created God, but perhaps
neither could exist without the other? The Dance of consciousness and the external universe,
without the universe, consciousness would not exist, and without consciousness, what could
possibly observe the universe?

I have to disagree with even that.
Other games that attempt to be "deep" at least put enough effort it to make graphics and gameplay
that aren't "square floating around on a white background".
This is just complete shit, by every single standard. No real graphics, no real gameplay, no real
mechanics, no critical thinking, no excitement, and there's not even a fucking message. It's just
another "durrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you decide what it means", which is objectively a shit message,

Your initial premise I argue is the reverse of true. You say that God had no influence, where we
both know that he had ultimate agency, but was not directly inovlved in the circumstances that
enabled the sin of Adam, which was the eating of the fruit by eve.
It isn't the lack of the influence of God, if anything it is the influence of God that prevents
you from eating the thing as often as the other fruit. It is instead the influence of the serpent
that snares eve, and the influence of eve that snares you. Self aware morality doesn't come in
until after eve eats the fruit, her temptation was by the snake, so she didn't need self-aware
morality to eat it.

No, because the causing of injury or things that are otherwise only harmful is not helpful or
reasonable. To do only evil things would become tiresome, and this is not a wise path because the
continuous action of bad things loses your stock.

So for example, let us take the idea of you only being able to do harm to a city instead of the
garden. You can knock in glass, topple buildings, kill whomever you want, break whatever you
want. But no one is going to fix it. Ever. After crumbling half the city to dust, after wasting
it piece meal, you would look at what you have and say, "So glorious before was this city. What
harm have I done to it? I must repair my domain." but you cannot, for the evil action is single
step, and though forgiven, is not reparable.
