Renaming flashes can make them hard to find again if you didn't download it at the time you saw it. And also because flash names often have sauce inside of them, until they get changed, as in this case. You could also argue it's respecting the intentions of the original flash maker, as flash names often effect how the flash itself is interpreted. And also simple tradition, which is important on 4chan. >> [_] Anonymous 05/26/15(Tue)23:25 No.2793085 Yes, for example, it's very important to leave that underscore right at the end of Could_ >> [_] Anonymous 05/26/15(Tue)23:30 No.2793091 >>2793085 This post brings up another important reason, name recognition. If Could_ were to get renamed by everyone who downloaded it, he wouldn't be able to reference it as Could_ he would instead have to vaguely describe it "that one flash were the red head from High School DxD dances on the pole" which is cumbersome. If I talk about lolicatgirls or click here to smile, people will quickly and easily know what I'm referring to. >> [_] Anonymous 05/26/15(Tue)23:32 No.2793092 Song sauce? I just can't help but to see it as something trivial that we're blowing way out of proportion. Guess it's a good thing I don't actually save flashes. >> [_] Anonymous 05/27/15(Wed)01:08 No.2793192 >>2793026 ive watched this for about 15 minutes now >>2793078 you have autism my man >> [_] Anonymous 05/27/15(Wed)01:21 No.2793200 >>2793068 Besides the listed reasons, the name is often part of the joke or is the joke. Renaming "gardevoir_paizuri.swf" to something else removes the joke aspect of it being a trick and just makes it an ordinary sound/animation loop. There isn't any incentive to actually rename a flash, it really only has negative effects. |
