Drawing attention to the fact that the kid has two moms forcefully is going to alienate children
from the idea that it is normal, not encourage it.
I really don't understand. If characters are incidentally a certain way, then people are much
more likely going to accept it as normal. However, when a piece of media goes "OH, LOOK AT HOW
GAY THEY ARE AND EVERYTHING IS GREAT. SEE? SEE?" it just undermines the perception of normalcy.
It is for a similar reason that my buddy and I don't understand the need for a "gay culture"...
and he's gay. A gay culture may provide some degree of unity for a historically marginalized part
of the population, but it ultimately serves to culturally bottleneck people because of their
sexuality and alienate homosexuals from the rest of society.
Why do we do this?
