it could help immensely to not play the emo "i'm so depressed" kid. try to be cheerful and
proactive, but not clingy.
show up to parties/events and shit, even if you weren't straight up invited (not parties with
invitations obviously, things like when everyone goes to a club). be chill and talk to people,
say hi and don't say stupid shit to try to impress people or make them instantly like you.
don't talk about anime or such unless they also watch and enjoy it and don't become obsessed with
a topic. music, tv shows, movies, work, maybe even politics can be good topics if you can hold a
conversation without spilling spaghetti everywhere.
you just have to be, or try to be natural.
