When it's OFF THE PAGE is what matters, since only 30 posts are visible on frontpage - newest
post pushes all others down 1 slot and bottom post is pushed down from visibility where it can
die peacefully without further bumping.
If posters cannot see it on the page, they cannot click reply. You'd have to have the url handy
to view it agan before it's pruned. (actually, if you have teh thread in another tyab abd it
disappears, it can still be bumped back into visibility before it dies. Try it, it's fun AND
annoying!)
In short, SAGE.
