Genius game, programmed excellently, brilliant idea to have /pol/ material speaking during the
entire thing. Very interesting concept.

My go to design is a quick pi-spiral (thick in center but expand quickly) - make it spacious,
then start redrawing the spiral within itself one strand at a time, once you have a few
concentric spirals start building "x"s and diagnols between each cell in the web. Fastest way to
build a comprehensive net.
Once the big bugs come, I'm not sure what can be done to stop them from tanking the web.

One strategy I tried was immediately drawing a supporting strand next to every insect after I ate
them - this way you're always rebuilding the web as it's being destroyed and not scrambling to
keep up.
Eventually the big insects come though, I think the solution there is to start building a really
strong corner web instead of trying to rebuild your spiral again - it just won't happen and will
end up looking like that meth spider experiment pic.

Have a thin yet very, very, very strong one along the sides.

Just got the bat, apparently that's the end of the game.
Had a very dense web that was a reverse c shape taking up maybe 1/8 to 1/4 of the field
