Holy shit I have to show this to my friends. They make touhou themed stepmania courses just like
this. Does anyone know when this was made? I'm wondering if this was an inspiration I didn't know
about, or if maybe this was inspired by my friends' stuff.

is there a way to increase the speed of the arrows? I prefer when they move so fast there is only
1 on the screen

Is there any more like this? I love both stepmania and touhou and having spellcard stages is
extremely refreshing

Here is his channel, you want to watch any Windeu Hates You videos, especially stage 5's, extra
stages, and phantasm stages. Up front warning for my little pony though, there is a lot of it
(and silly voice acted story) alongside the touhou.

There are usually some touhou boss characters along with a bunch of OCs and general anime.
Taronuke is actually a prolific flash programmer, I bet his stuff has shown up on /f/ before.

this guy scripts the entire thing, all the effects and shit? I've never seen anything done with
stepmania like it before

Yeah. He gets help with the graphics and voice acting, but the scripting and effects are 100%
him. The community is split between stepmania 3.95 (In The Groove) and stepmania 5 (the latest),
but they are both 100% scriptible in lua and the engines are pretty flexible. I linked the two
guys have been putting out stuff for tournaments for years, but if you want to see even more
stuff like this check out D.O.W.N.S. and Divinelegy Gimmick comp.

Here is a chart that, imo, surpasses the music video it is based on: https://www.youtube.c
